We’re proud to offer the “beast” – so nicknamed by its first owner, Formula 1 and Porsche factory racing driver and all-round legend, Mark Webber.
The 2016 991.1 GT3 RS blurred the lines between an out-and-out racecar and trackable roadcar with Porsche packing it with as much motorsport technology as they could at the time. The 4.0 liter flat six naturally aspirated powerplant has an impressive 500hp and is paired with a specifically developed seven speed PDK gearbox. Performance is rapid with a 0-60 mph time of just three and a half seconds and a top speed of 193mph.
Strong lightweight materials are used with the roof manufactured from magnesium and the bonnet, engine lid and front wings from carbon fibre. Having the roof in magnesium lowers the center of gravity adding to the RS’s amazing handling ability. Aerodynamics were a focus on the 991 RS – this is clear with the motorsport derived front wheel arch vents that clean up airflow and the rather impressive rear wing giving much wanted rear downforce. Rear-wheel steering and sticky Michelin rubber give the remarkable agility and ultimate dynamics on track. It’s safe to say that the 991.1 GT3 RS is a very serious study in performance.
Our GT3 RS was first delivered to Porsche factory racing driver Mark Webber in late 2016 after winning the 2015 World Endurance Championship with Porsche. It was tastefully specified in PTS Deep Black Pearl, has optioned black brake calipers (almost unheard of) and satin black wheels. The black leather fixed 918 seats with silver stitching and accents are a beautiful compliment to the subtle PTS exterior. The car was originally supplied with anthracite Alcantara seat inserts but was later updated with Pepita inserts. The original inserts accompany the car. Having covered only 6,460 miles in the hands of two owners, the car presents in excellent condition throughout with the exterior having received paint protection film from new and the car being regularly maintained by main Porsche service centers.
